We are pilgrims on a spiritual journey following Jesus Christ.
We welcome and affirm the dignity of all God’s children. We earnestly listen for the Spirit’s voice as it inspires us to offer compassionate care, service and love to those who live in our community. We’re proud to be part of the Covenant Network of Presbyterians, a national organization advocating for the rights of the LGBTQIA+ community.
We are a joy-filled and a service-oriented faith community nestled in our neighborhood. Whether it is worship on Maundy Thursday or on Holy Humor Sunday, we gather to praise God. We study scripture to increase our understanding and our faithful practice as Christ’s followers. We serve with our neighbors through donations of handmade lap quilts to Foundation II Crisis Services, funds to the R.I.S.E Program (Fresh Start Ministries, the Northwest Neighborhood Resource Center, Freedom Foundation, and to other mission partners in our community.
Since September 2024, the members and friends of Olivet Presbyterian Church started a ministry partnership with the members and friends of Christ Church Presbyterian. Together we serve with our neighbors in Christ’s name.
Rev. Michele Scott, M.A., M.Div., M.B.A.
[she/hers]
Michele is celebrating forty years of ordained ministry in 2024. She has served with churches in North Dakota and in Iowa as well as four years as campus minister and adjunct faculty at Minot State University. In 1992, she returned to Coe College for computer science classes. Those classes turned into working full-time in project management and training while serving with churches on a part-time basis. She retired from Collins Aerospace in 2018. Michele started serving with the faithful and outward-
focused members of Olivet Presbyterian Church in 2017. What drew Michele to serve with the members and friends of Olivet is their humble dedication to transform the neighborhood for everyone who calls this community their home.
Everyone is welcome and accepted as a beloved child of God.
We are meeting in-person in a relaxed and casual atmosphere. Enjoy a cup of coffee during worship while singing traditional hymns. The words to the hymns and worship service may be viewed on a screen. Be ready to listen and to move with the Spirit at 10 AM every Sunday.
Services are live streamed to YouTube.
