The Rev. Ms. Michele Scott

Michele's journey led her to Olivet Presbyterian in October 2017.  She is a native of Cedar Rapids. She received her undergraduate degree from Coe College with honors in religion and psychology. She received a Master's from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Hebrew and Semitic Studies. She received her Masters of Divinity degree from Andover Newton Theological School and enjoyed taking half of the coursework at Harvard Divinity. She received a Masters in Business Administration from Mt. Mercy University.

Michele has served with faith communities in Massachusetts, North Dakota, and in Iowa. She served as the chaplain and faculty member at Minot State University in North Dakota. She has served as adjunct faculty at Emmanuel College (Boston), Coe College and Kirkwood Community College.

Michele retired from Collins Aerospace in February 2019 after fourteen years in Engineering and Operations. After serving as a bi-vocational minister since 1992, she says that it is a welcome change to focus on ways that Olivet will continue to transform its community through active service.
